Jared Chung is the Founder and Executive Director of CareerVillage. Jared was previously the Director of TEDxCambridge and an Advisor for The Opportunity Network. Jared started their career as an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in 2005.
As the Director of TEDxCambridge, Jared built a platform in Cambridge to spread amazing ideas from amazing people. Jared served in various roles including lead curator, executive producer, and partnership director.
At McKinsey & Company, Jared was a member of the Corporate Finance practice. Jared started as an analyst in New York in 2005 and was posted for two years working primarily on finance-based strategy and capital markets work. That was followed by a year in Hong Kong and a year in Beijing, where they did more new-business-development / growth-oriented work throughout Asia (SH, BJ, HK, Sing, Tokyo, etc.) and helped clients evade bankruptcy in the downturn. After their time in China, they spent a year and a half with McKinsey's Boston office as an engagement manager.
In their current role as the Founder and Executive Director of CareerVillage, Jared is committed to helping people find their dream jobs. Jared believes that everyone deserves access to quality career advice, regardless of their background or resources.
Jared Chung attended the Bronx High School of Science before getting their BS in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
