Melissa Byers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in workforce development and human resources. Currently serving as the Business Liaison and Apprenticeship Navigator at CareerSource Brevard since July 2020, Melissa supports the Construction and Hospitality industries, coordinating with over 275 employers to address workforce needs and provide skill improvement training. Previously, as the Workforce Recovery Grant Program Coordinator, Melissa effectively managed a significant grant aimed at assisting individuals affected by COVID-19 job losses. In earlier roles at Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront and the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Melissa contributed to human resources and educational operations, demonstrating a commitment to supporting both students and faculty. Melissa is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration at Eastern Florida State College, building on a College Credit Certificate in Business Operations earned in 2021.
