Emily Hayhurst is a dedicated healthcare professional with diverse experience in patient education and clinical support. Currently serving as a Patient Educator/Patient Advocate at Care Access since April 2022, Emily previously worked as a Medical Scribe at WVU Hospitals — Ruby Memorial Hospital and as a Clinical Research Associate at Parexel. Early experiences include roles as an Assistant Chef and Server at Yama Japanese Restaurant, and as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Kno Koma, where support was provided to children with diabetes. Additionally, Emily contributed to research as an Undergraduate Researcher at the WVU Eye Institute and served as a Japanese Tutor at West Virginia University. Emily holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Psychology from West Virginia University.
