Ying Sutherland began their work experience in 1998 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. From 2002 to 2004, they served as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard University. In 2004, they co-founded CARDIOPRECISION LTD and became the CEO in 2007.

Ying Sutherland pursued their education at the W. Alton Jones Cell Science Center, part of Clarkson University, from 1993 to 1998. During this period, they obtained a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
