Chris Brushett has extensive work experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on catheter engineering and clinical development. Chris is currently working as a Principal Catheter Engineer at CardioFocus since December 2022. Prior to this, Chris held multiple roles at the Healthcare Optics Research Laboratory, Canon U.S.A., including Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer in Catheters and Clinical Development from March 2021 to November 2022 and from August 2018 to February 2021, respectively. Before joining Canon U.S.A., Chris worked as an R&D Engineer II at St. Jude Medical, where they were responsible for defect analysis, design changes, and V&V testing leading to successful device releases. Chris'sprevious experience also includes working as an R&D Engineer at LightLab Imaging, Inc., where they played a key role in developing a novel intravascular imaging catheter, overseeing preclinical testing and clinical trials, and obtaining FDA approval for the imaging system and catheter.
Chris Brushett attended The Johns Hopkins University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution from 2003 to 2005, earning a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
