Emma Wakeham is an experienced professional currently serving as the Local Area Energy Plan Programme Manager at Cardiff Capital Region since January 2023. Prior to this role, Emma held various senior positions at Newport City Council from June 2006 to January 2023, including Senior Policy & Partnership Officer focused on Climate Change and Local Area Energy Plan initiatives. Emma's career also includes a tenure as an Administrative Officer at Torfaen County Borough Council and a long-standing period at HSBC, beginning as a Customer Service Representative and advancing to Service Manager over more than a decade. Emma holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics from the University of Hull and has furthered education at the University of Cambridge and Stratum Learning & Development.
