Niels Kijf is a Web3 design strategist specializing in decentralized finance (DeFi) innovation, currently serving as a Senior Product Designer for Catalyst at Input Output (IOHK) since November 2023. Niels has been actively involved with the Cardano Community as a Social System Designer since September 2020 and co-founded The Dating Cards, a scientific dating game, in February 2019. Niels offers UX review services through a personal brand established in September 2012 and has also worked as a Freelance UI Designer and UX researcher at the Social Design Academy since February 2020. Past roles include User Experience Designer at Q-dance, Independent UX Director at Dirac Research, Freelance Lead Digital Platform at Valspar, and positions with Sony and AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings. Niels holds a Master of Arts in Digital Media Design from HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht), earned between 1998 and 2002.
