Jake Cross has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and systems engineering. Jake started their career at Highline College as a Student Worker, where they gained experience in troubleshooting AV equipment and hardware issues. Jake then joined Copiers Northwest and served as a Helpdesk IT Support, troubleshooting customer software issues and setting up networking solutions with multi-function printers. Jake later transitioned to the role of Systems Engineer at Copiers Northwest, where they were responsible for managing IT systems for 250+ users across multiple offices and performing major software upgrades.

After Copiers Northwest, Jake worked as a Consultant at ISOutsource, where they were the primary consultant for more than 15 clients. Jake analyzed clients' IT infrastructure, provided recommendations based on best practices, and maintained daily network operations. Jake then joined Triton Technical as a Systems Engineer, planning and deploying IT systems for internal use and customers. Jake also improved IT processes and leveraged vendor partnerships to reduce operational expenditure.

Currently, Jake is working at Card Kingdom Inc as a Systems Engineer. In this role, they manage a network of 6 sites and over 450 users. Jake has planned, built, and deployed an HR information system and improved security through single sign-on technologies.

Jake Cross started their education at Decatur High School in the year 2008 and completed their studies there in 2012. After high school, they pursued their higher education at Puget Sound Skills Center from 2011 to 2012, where they focused on Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Following that, they attended Highline College from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a degree in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.

In terms of certifications, Jake received the Microsoft Technology Associate Networking Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in June 2012. Jake continued to enhance their skills by obtaining various certifications, including the 70-697 Configuring Windows Devices certification in June 2016, the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Office 365 certification in July 2017, the Sophos XG Firewall Engineer certification in June 2018, and finally the Windows IOT for Device Builders certification from Microsoft in December 2019.
