Kenji Baba serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Carbonplace since January 2024. With a distinguished career at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation since April 1994, Kenji has held several key positions, including General Manager for the Sustainability Development Department in Tokyo, Managing Director and Head of Middle East Department in Dubai, and Chief Representative in both Cairo and Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Kenji has led the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Group, and worked as Executive Director within the Growth Industry Cluster, overseeing Project & Export Finance and Carbon Trading. Previous experience includes a role as Credit Officer at Japan Bank for International Cooperation, where Kenji served as Vice President for the Latin America Department. Kenji's educational background includes degrees from Sophia University and Santa Clara University.
