Felipe Cortés Gómez is a skilled data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Carbon Re since May 2023. Previously, Felipe held positions at Transelec S.A. as a Data Scientist and at the UCL Energy Institute as a Researcher within the Energy and Artificial Intelligence Lab. Felipe also gained valuable experience as a Research Intern at Octopus Energy and worked as a Project Engineer at Fraunhofer Chile, focusing on energy efficiency in mining and agriculture. Early career experience includes roles as a Process Engineer and Engineering Intern at Xylem Inc., where Felipe was involved in wastewater treatment projects. Felipe holds an MSc in Energy Systems and Data Analytics from UCL and a Master's in Engineering, specializing in Solar-Geothermal Systems, from Universidad Diego Portales, along with an Industrial Civil Engineer degree from the same institution.
