Stephan Turano

Vice President, Process and Equipment at Carbice Corporation

Stephan Turano has a long history of work experience in the field of research and engineering. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Research Scientist I for the Georgia Tech Research Institute. During this time, they also held the role of Research Scientist II from 2009 to 2016, where they served as the Chief Experimentalist for the EOSL-MNG Nanotechnology lab group. In 2016, they took on the role of Senior Research Engineer for the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2017 to present, Stephan has been the Vice President of Process and Equipment for Carbice Corporation. Prior to their time at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, Stephan was a Research Engineer for Alcoa from 2007 to 2005, where they identified and implemented new technologies into the company product line.

Stephan Turano obtained a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. Stephan then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering at the same institution, which they completed in 2005.
