Megan Hunter has been working as a Corporate Communications Manager at Capstone Infrastructure Corporation since March 2021. In this role, they are responsible for leading all corporate communications efforts, including brand development, media relations, digital strategy, industry relations, and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to their current position, Megan worked at Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation from October 2015 to March 2021 as the Director of Engagement and Digital Strategy. Megan played a key role in the strategic direction and execution of a comprehensive public engagement program for the foundation, focusing on recruiting, informing, and inspiring a base of public supporters committed to the permanent protection of the Greenbelt.
From June 2011 to October 2015, Megan worked at Greenbelt Fund as the Communications and Program Manager. Megan was responsible for managing two key programs aimed at accelerating Ontario farmers and processors' access to commercial markets: Ontariofresh.ca and the Market Access Grant Stream. Before that, they worked as a Project Coordinator at Greenbelt Fund from October 2010 to June 2011.
Megan also has experience working at Canadian Youth Climate Coalition as a Communications Team Member from June 2009 to 2010, and at Green Living Enterprises as a Communications Intern from 2008 to 2009.
In the early stages of their career, Megan worked at Vita-Mix Corporation as a Show Manager and Product Demonstrator from August 2000 to August 2002. In this role, they acted as a sales representative, product demonstrator, and show manager for the company, overseeing trade show promotions across Canada and the Eastern United States.
Megan Hunter attended the University of Toronto - Victoria University from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Environmental Policy. Megan completed their studies and graduated with an HBA degree.
