Jennifer D. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jennifer started their career as a staff/research assistant at The Brookings Institution from July 2001 to July 2004. In 2005, they worked as a consultant at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, TradeRoots. Jennifer then joined the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2006 as an International Trade Specialist, specializing in Renewable Energy, and served as the Designated Federal Officer for the Secretary of Commerce's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee. Jennifer held this position until October 2012. From April 2018, Jennifer was a Board Member at the Clean Energy Business Network (CEBN), where they contributed to the growth and development of the clean energy economy. In December 2019, they became a Vice President at Capstone Green Energy, where they oversaw marketing and distribution. Prior to this, Jennifer held the position of Director of Strategy, Policy, and Distributor Development at Capstone since October 2012. In December 2019, Jennifer also began serving as a Board Member for the Combined Heat and Power Alliance, contributing to thought leadership and governance.
Jennifer D. earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs/International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed from 2004 to 2006.
