Matthew Edwards is an experienced barrister currently serving as a Principal Associate Barrister at Capsticks LLP since October 2022, after a role as Senior Associate Barrister. Previously, Matthew held positions as Senior Associate at Edmonds Marshall McMahon from May 2016 to July 2022 and as a Specialist Fraud Prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service from October 2009 to May 2016. In the Specialist Fraud Division, Matthew managed serious fraud cases and collaborated with various law enforcement authorities on complex investigations. As a Senior Crown Prosecutor, Matthew oversaw a diverse caseload, achieving a high conviction rate and contributing to significant prosecutions, including a notable drugs handling case. Matthew is a graduate of The Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Leicester, holding qualifications in law.
