Ravi has worked in health care analytics, software, telemedicine, innovation, entrepreneurship and other technology areas for over 20 years. He served as the former General Manager for Crimson Real-Time at the Advisory Board Company (NASDAQ:ABCO). Prior to the Advisory Board, he co-founded 360Fresh, Inc., a Silicon Valley company that uses semantic mining and predictive data analytics to proactively identify clinical risk in real-time. Ravi served as Chief Strategist and Head of Business Development for 360Fresh, and he helped develop it from a concept to a peer-reviewed, NIH funded, enterprise-class product that was used by leading health systems in the U.S. Prior positions include serving as Executive Director for Services: Science, Management & Engineering (SSME) and Health Care at the Center for IT in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) at UC Berkeley. Other positions include Senior Advisor and Director of IT Research at The Health Technology Center, a San Francisco-based health care 'think tank,' and as Assistant Director for Technology and a founding member of the Center for Health and Technology at the University of California, Davis Health System (UCDHS). He helped found the California Regional Health Information Organization (CalRHIO), co-chaired the California Statewide Health IT Planning Committee, served on the Board of Lumetra, and served as the Technical Chair and as an Advisory Board Member for the California Telehealth Network. His team and work were honored by the California Association of Public Hospitals' Management Excellence Award, four consecutive "Top 10 Telemedicine Program" awards and by a feature in a documentary film. He holds degrees from the University of California, Davis and the University of Chicago, and actively mentors/advises start-up companies as a Mentor at MATTER Chicago.
