Loraine Achar currently serves as a member of Global Women in VC and Nairobi Business Angel Network, engaging in investments and support for startups. Loraine has been an Investment Associate and Investment Fellow at Capria Ventures since April 2021, and previously held roles at Stanbic Bank Kenya from January 2015 to June 2020 as an Investment Banking Analyst and Assistant Relationship Manager for Wealth and Investment. Early experience includes an Actuarial Internship at AON Kenya Insurance Brokers and positions at Icon Telesec Services Ltd as both Sales Account Manager and Database Assistant. Loraine holds an MSc in Finance and Investment from The University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from The University of Manchester.
