Serena Berkowitz is an experienced educator and program coordinator with expertise in teaching French and Spanish. Currently serving as a French and Spanish Teacher at Capitol Hill Day School since August 2020, Serena previously worked with the Peace Corps as a Higher Education Volunteer, where projects included co-teaching English classes and organizing cultural camps in Ukraine. Other roles include a Pre-Departure Orientation Teacher with American Councils for International Education and a Program Associate at FHI 360, where project management and logistical arrangements for international programs were key responsibilities. Serena has taught multiple language classes at various educational institutions and holds a Master’s Degree in Professional French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in French, Spanish, and Latin American Studies from the University of Puget Sound.
