Garth Osborne

3rd Class Power Engineer at Capital Power

Garth Osborne has a strong background in the electrical industry with over 20 years of experience. Their most recent position was with Capital Power Corporation, where they worked as a 3rd Class Power Engineer and an Electrician/Instrumentation Technician. Prior to that, they were an Industrial Electrician at Finning (Canada). Garth also held similar roles at Casca Electric and Chemco Electrical Contractors Ltd. Garth started their career as a Commercial Electrician at the University of Saskatchewan and worked there for nearly seven years.

Garth Osborne has a diverse education history. In 2000, they obtained a Red Seal Journeyman degree in Electrician from SIAST (Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology). From 2009 to 2012, they pursued further education at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and obtained a Red Seal Journeyman degree in Instrumentation Technician. In 2013, they completed a 4th Class Power Engineer's Certificate in 4th Class Power Engineering CML from NAIT. Subsequently, in 2014, they obtained a 3rd Class Power Engineer's Certificate in 3rd Class Power Engineering CML, also from NAIT. Garth has also acquired additional certifications, including Excel Essential Training from LinkedIn in May 2021.
