Shaun Tipson has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Shaun is currently working as the General Counsel at CapitalOS since September 2022. Prior to that, they founded and served as the Director of Tipson Law Limited, providing legal services to technology companies.

Shaun also has extensive experience at Stripe, where they held multiple roles. From 2016 to 2021, they served as the Product Counsel and Team Lead, responsible for supporting Stripe's software and services products. Shaun also led the legal team for supporting Stripe applications and anti-fraud products. Additionally, they worked as the Head of Commercial Legal - Global and Senior Contracts Manager.

Before joining Stripe, Shaun worked at Microsoft as a Senior Attorney, supporting various groups within the company and negotiating large agreements with key customers.

At Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Shaun worked as a Senior Associate, specializing in information technology and intellectual property law. Shaun advised clients on complex transactions and provided counsel on intellectual property licensing, data protection, and privacy issues.

Shaun also held positions at Lexmark International Technology SA and the Australian Government Solicitor, where they gained experience in contracts management, information technology law, intellectual property, and commercial contracts and procurement.

Furthermore, Shaun worked as a Tutor at the Australian National University, where they taught Australian Public Law.

Shaun Tipson's education history begins in 1997 when they enrolled at The Australian National University. Shaun pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Science, which they completed in 2003. During this time, they also attended the NMSS (National Mathematics Summer School) in 1995, though no degree or field of study is specified for this program.

In 2005, Shaun Tipson attended The College of Law Australia and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Shaun also continued their studies at The Australian National University, earning another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Law.
