Paul J. Matthews is an accomplished facilities management professional with extensive experience in higher education and military service. Currently serving as the Director of Facilities Management at Capital University since January 2017, Paul oversees significant operational responsibilities. Previously, as Assistant Vice President for Campus Planning & Operations at Roosevelt University, Paul successfully managed four major capital projects, including the construction of the Wabash Vertical Campus Center. Paul's tenure at Saint Xavier University included managing multiple capital projects and leading the construction of two LEED-certified residence halls. Additionally, Paul served on the Board of Directors for the USGBC-Illinois Chapter and had a distinguished military career in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Major. Academically, Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
