Cheri Hung is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Capital One, a position held since October 2017. In this role, Cheri directs the technology behind Capital One Shopping's Price Comparison features, providing technical and strategic leadership to full-stack teams. Previous positions at Capital One include Senior Manager - Tech Lead and Master Software Engineer, where significant contributions were made to software reliability and scalability on NodeJS/React applications. Prior to Capital One, Cheri worked at Aviture as a Front-End Engineer and held various roles at Editorial Projects in Education, including Online Creative Director. Cheri holds an M.S. in Information Management from the University of Maryland and additional qualifications in Data Science and New Media from General Assembly and Syracuse University, respectively.
