James Favata, CFA has extensive experience in finance and accounting. James started their career at Rydex Investments as a Fund Accountant, where they computed daily NAV figures for mutual funds and performed analysis of fund performance. James then worked at Legg Mason as a Financial Reporting Accountant, where they prepared and analyzed financial statements for compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations. Following this, they joined Calvert Group as a Fund Administrator, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings for assigned funds. James then moved on to Laureate Education as a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, where they prepared analytical reviews and assisted in managing audits and external reporting. Currently, they are the Director of Finance at Capital Funding Group, Inc., responsible for overseeing valuation, analytica modeling, and market analysis for senior housing deals.

James Favata, CFA holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. James has also obtained additional certifications, including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 2019 and the 5-Year Professional Learning Milestone from the CFA Institute, obtained in 2023.
