Fred Oliveira is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Capital Factory since August 2020. Oliveira's prior roles include Chief Technology Officer at Union from January 2018 until its acquisition by Capital Factory in August 2021, and Product and Engineering positions at 1776, a global incubator, from April 2015 to December 2017. Previous experience also encompasses Head of Product at Disruption Corporation, where contributions included managing the Crystal Tech Fund, as well as a writing role at O'Reilly Media, co-authoring "Redis Cookbook." Oliveira has served as a mentor at 500 Startups and founded Webreakstuff, where product development took precedence. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Information Systems and Software Engineering and an earlier degree from Universidade de Coimbra.
