Cary Gaymond is the current Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations at Capilano University. Cary has over 25 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and social enterprise.

Cary has held previous positions as Senior Director, Gift & Estate Planning at Simon Fraser University, Associate Director Gift & Estate Planning at the BC Cancer Foundation, Legacy & Major Gifts Specialist at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and Director of Philanthropy at BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Cary has also been self-employed as a Philanthropy - Strategic Charitable Gift Planning Professional.

Cary's experience and skills in philanthropy and fundraising have helped their to make a significant impact in the lives of others. Cary is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the world.

Cary Gaymond has a long history of involvement in education, starting with their Associate Certificate (Honours) in Marketing/Fundraising from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Cary then went on to complete the Culinary Arts Chef Program at the Pacific Institute Culinary Arts, before earning their Certified Fundraising Executive Credential from Babson College.

Gaymond's involvement in education has not only been limited to their own personal development; they have also been an active presenter and speaker at various national conferences. In particular, they have spoken at the Canadian Association Gift Planners' National Conference Toronto on multiple occasions, discussing topics such as strategic legacy giving and public speaking.
