Gerry Koocher serves as Program Director for Clinical & School Psychology at Capella University since August 2022 and has held various academic and clinical positions, including Lecturer and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School since September 1972. Koocher has been Dean Emeritus and Associate Provost at Simmons College since June 2001 and has been affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital since September 1971, serving as Senior Associate in Psychology and previously as Chief Psychologist. Other leadership roles include Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Quincy College (2018-2019), Dean of the College of Science and Health at DePaul University (2013-2018), and President of the American Psychological Association in 2006. Koocher's editorial experience includes serving as Editor for Ethics & Behavior until 2016 and President of the Society of Pediatric Psychology from 2011 to 2012. Educational qualifications include an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BA in Psychology from Boston University.
