Julia Piermattei is a Genetic Assistant at the Greenwood Genetic Center since August 2023, where responsibilities include collecting and reviewing patient history, scheduling, and assisting the metabolic team. Currently, Julia also tutors students in English, Math, and Science at Capabilities LLC. Previous experience includes serving as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina, co-authoring research on pancreatic cancer, and participating in a summer research program. Julia has actively contributed to the Charleston Climate Coalition to promote sustainability and has held various customer service roles, such as a Sales Associate at Chocolat Boutique and Juicerista at Clean Juice. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston and is pursuing a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at the Medical University of South Carolina.
