Debbie Bennett has held various roles throughout their work experience. Debbie served as the VP of HR & Finance at The Ottawa Citizen. Later, they became the Vice President of Financial and Human Resources at CanWest. Lastly, they served as the Past Chair at HRPA from 2002 to 2010.

Debbie Bennett pursued their education from 1980 to 1985 at Queen's University, where they completed a Master's degree in Industrial Relations.
