Daissyna (DJ) Johnson-Harker has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as an Intern at the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN). Daissyna (DJ) then worked as an Office Assistant for Academic Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2009 until 2014. In 2012, they became a Front Desk Representative at the Wingate by Wyndham Concord. Later, they joined Dry Pro Basement Systems in 2014 as a Customer Service Representative/Permit Coordinator before being promoted to Human Resources Manager in 2015. In 2021, they held the position of Human Resources Director for both Safewaze and Bee Access. Currently, they are the VP of People at Canopy Brands, starting in 2023. Throughout their career, DJ has gained experience in various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and event planning.

Daissyna (DJ) Johnson-Harker obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Prior to attending university, they completed their College/University Prep at West Carteret High School from 2005 to 2009.
