Sean Redden has a diverse work experience in the legal and insurance industries. Sean currently works as an Underwriting Counsel at Canopius Group since August 2018. Prior to that, they were the Global Political Risk & Credit Claims Manager at Chubb from February 2017 to August 2018.
Before their roles at Canopius and Chubb, Sean worked as Of Counsel at Signature Litigation from January 2016 to January 2017. In this role, they advised on complex Political Risk Insurance and Latin American Reinsurance claims, as well as represented clients in Commercial Litigation and Arbitration disputes.
From February 2013 to December 2015, Sean served as a Claims Counsel at Aspen Insurance Group. In this position, they advised on and handled complex claims related to Political Risk, Directors and Officers, Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Cyber, and Warranty & Indemnity insurance lines. Sean also drafted and amended Wordings for these insurance lines.
Earlier in their career, Sean worked as a Senior Associate at Clyde & Co from October 2007 to January 2013. Prior to that, they were a Senior Associate at Allens from April 2005 to July 2007. Sean began their legal career as a Lawyer at Minter Ellison from February 2002 to March 2005.
Sean Redden completed their education at three universities. Sean obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Bachelor of Business (B.Bus) degree from The University of Notre Dame Australia in 2001. Later on, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Queen Mary University of London, which they completed in 2016.
