Megan Shao currently serves as the Head of Claims for APAC & MENA at Canopius Group, a position held since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, where Megan was the Head of Claims Technical Centre in Hong Kong and Head of FL & Casualty Claims for Asia, along with a tenure as Senior Claims Manager for FL & Casualty in the APAC region. Megan's professional journey also includes significant positions at Chubb, where responsibilities ranged from Claims Manager for Financial Lines in Greater China to Regional Specialty and Casualty Claims Specialist. Earlier in the career, Megan practiced law at several firms, including Jones Day and Winkler Partners Attorneys-at-Law, after starting as a Legal Researcher at Qi Lin International Law Offices. Academically, Megan holds an LL.M in American Law with a specialization in International Business Practice from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Chinese Culture University in Taiwan.
