Ellie Cunningham's work experience begins with their role as the Chief Operating Officer at Canoa, where they are involved in building a marketplace for sustainable interior design in the commercial sector. Ellie focuses on creating accessible and environmentally-friendly work and living environments.

Prior to Canoa, Ellie worked at WeWork, where they held multiple roles. As the Global Head of Strategy, Development, they managed a team of over 2,000 employees and was responsible for growth forecasting, talent strategy, communications, and employee happiness initiatives. Ellie also served as the Global Head of Operations, Design, where they launched and ran the Operations team for the Design organization, overseeing the expansion of new teams and headquarters across different regions.

Before WeWork, Ellie worked as a Designer at HOK, specializing in the healthcare industry. Ellie contributed to various projects, including hospitals, corporate offices, and urgent care centers. Ellie also gained experience as an Interior Designer at Tihany Design for a short period of time.

In terms of education, Ellie holds a Masters of Science in Design from Pratt Institute, where they focused on their studies from 2011 to 2014.

During their earlier career, Ellie worked as a Freelance Writer for The Onion (Decider.Com), where they wrote a series called "Tourist Trap" that explored popular tourist spots in Chicago.
