Nicole Sowinski has a diverse range of work experience in the art and design industry. Nicole began their career as a Publications Department Intern at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in 2003, where they assisted with editing and writing copy for various publications and newsletters. Nicole then worked at Park West Gallery in 2005, where they were responsible for maintaining digital inventory records and assisting with shipping and sales coordination. In 2006, they became an Instructor of Record at Michigan State University, teaching undergraduate courses in art and design. Nicole then worked as a Galleries Assistant at the Salem Art Association from 2008 to 2010, where they handled sales, installations, and gallery-related inquiries. In 2012, they joined Stacy Garcia, Inc as a Design Assistant, focusing on print collateral design, product photography, and other tasks related to brand standards. Most recently, they have been working as a Graphic Designer at CannonDesign since 2014.
Nicole Sowinski's education history begins in 1999 when they attended Alfred University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Painting. During their time at Alfred University, they also pursued a minor in Art History. Following this, from 2005 to 2008, Nicole attended Michigan State University and obtained a Master's of Fine Art degree in Painting. Finally, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Chemeketa Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Visual Communications with a specialization in Graphic Design.
