Jared Boock

Lead Developer at Cannabix

Jared Boock is the lead developer at Cannabix. Jared has a PhD from the University of Florida, where they developed a high-field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS)-based method of detection for transition metals, primarily for environmental applications, including methylmercury in seawater. Jared also conducted characterization of the types of ions that form during the electrospray ionization (ESI) process for over 25 metal salts. In addition, Jared invented an atmospheric pressure ion guide (patent WO 2017019852 A1) and taught four semesters of analytical chemistry laboratory. Jared was the recipient of the Department of Chemistry Teaching Award for 2015.

Jared was also a member of the Gator Kendo Club and taught beginner classes. Jared represented UF in national tournaments. Prior to their PhD, Jared was a graduate student at the University of Florida from August 2005 to February 2007. From March 2016 to February 2017, they were a project advisor at Patriot One Technologies, Inc.

Jared Boock has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Florida and a master's degree in analytical chemistry from the same school. Jared also has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Florida State University.
