Sam Dubeau has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as an Event Representative and Sales Associate at Davids Tea in 2009 and later became a Store Manager, responsible for staff management, sales targets, and operational goals. In 2012, they worked as a Skate Canada Skating Coach at the North Toronto Skating Club. In 2017, they joined Newtopia Inc. as a Senior Designer and later became a Senior Design Manager, leading creative strategy and managing style guidelines for web, mobile, video, packaging, and presentations. They also executed multi-channel campaigns to increase registrations, reach, following, and engagement. In 2009, they founded Have & Hold Design, a boutique creative studio focusing on handcrafted designs for special occasions. They collaborated with vendors, received awards for print and stationery pieces, and led workshops. Currently, they are the Brand Marketing Lead at Candor, a role that focuses on brand marketing and strategy.
Sam Dubeau completed a Bachelor of Design with Honors in Graphic Design at York University from 2005 to 2009. In 2018, Sam attended Juno College of Technology for a short period to study User Experience Design, focusing on fundamentals and advanced concepts. Prior to that, between 2000 and 2005, Sam attended Centennial Secondary School. Additionally, Sam has obtained several certifications related to accessibility and UX design from LinkedIn in 2021, including "Accessibility for Web Design," "UX Foundations: Accessibility," and "Digital Accessibility for the Modern Workplace."
