Cathy Maltais has been in the technology industry since 1990. Cathy began their career as a Contract Programmer at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1990. In 1991, they moved on to Computer Aid, Inc., where they worked as a Computer Consultant. In 2001, they joined SoftBase Systems, Inc. as a Technical Support Specialist. Later that same year, they joined Fresche Solutions as a Technical Support Manager, where they were responsible for first level support. Her duties included providing 24x7 support to SoftBase clients, writing documentation, communicating with clients by phone and email, monitoring customer problems from inception to resolution, assisting in managing trials, and serving as an analyst for website content and customer management systems.

Cathy Maltais completed a Post Bachelor degree in Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Kansas City between 1981 and 1983. Cathy also attended Iowa State University between 1974 and 1978, studying Soil Science and Agronomy, General.
