Vanessa Canelo Chamorro has extensive experience in public procurement, legal compliance, and management. Currently serving as Jefa de Área de Contratación de Operaciones at Canal de Isabel II since February 2009, Vanessa played a pivotal role in establishing the department and aligning contracting activities with new legal directives for various sectors. Previous positions include Coordinadora de Contratación de Operaciones and Co-founder/Joint Director at Init Works, LLP, where innovative garments and shoes were designed for women. Vanessa also served as Deputy Legal Director at Red.es, overseeing legal negotiations in the agency's early stages, and worked as a real estate and corporate associate lawyer at Cuatrecasas, focusing on European competition law. Academic credentials include a Master's in Business European Community Law from Université libre de Bruxelles and a Bachelor's in Law from Universidad de Salamanca.
