Sarah Bunting is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as an Environmental Officer in Engineering Advisory Services and Rail/Marine Determinations at the Canadian Transportation Agency since August 2022. Prior to this role, Bunting worked at Parks Canada as an Environmental Assessment Officer and Resource Management Officer II from May 2016 to August 2022, and held various positions at Transport Canada focused on environmental assessments and Indigenous consultation between November 2011 and May 2016. Bunting's previous experience includes research and technician roles at institutions such as the University of Sheffield, Trent University, and Texas A&M University, as well as internship positions at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and the City of Kawartha Lakes. Bunting holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Anthropological Science from Trent University and an Advanced Standings Post Graduate Diploma in Ecosystem Management Technology from Sir Sandford Fleming College.
