Laura Evans is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in advancement and external relations. Currently serving as the Executive Director and Chief Advancement Officer at the Canadian Museum of Nature Foundation since October 2020, as well as the Chief Advancement Officer at the Canadian Museum of Nature since July 2013, Laura plays a pivotal role in inspiring public engagement with nature. Prior to these roles, Laura held positions at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, where responsibilities included Director of Advancement and Advancement Manager, focusing on building strategic relationships and supporting fundraising efforts. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Development for Opera Lyra and undertaking various roles in community-focused organizations. Laura holds a degree from the University of Ottawa.
