Scott Gillam has a diverse work experience in various roles related to design, digital platforms, and education. Scott currently works as the Director of Design and Digital Experience at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, where they have been since 2011. Scott also served as the Acting Director of Innovation for a brief period. In 2019, they were a member of the Selection Advisory Committee for Digital Museums Canada. Prior to that, they owned and worked as a designer at Push Design. Scott also held leadership positions at the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada and taught at Red River College and the University of Manitoba. Earlier in their career, they worked as a designer and digital imaging specialist at various companies.
Scott Gillam attended the University of Manitoba from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree. Scott'sfield of study during this time was Photography and Graphic Design. Later, in 2001 to 2002, they attended Red River College Polytechnic and obtained a Diploma in Advanced Graphic Design (Hons), specializing in New Media.
