Frédéric Le Pimpec is a seasoned professional in accelerator systems and synchrotron research, currently serving as the Accelerator Operations and Development Manager at Canadian Light Source Inc. since January 2021. Prior to this role, Frédéric was the Head of Executive Office at European XFEL GmbH, where responsibilities included managing international relations and overseeing documentation related to high-level meetings. Frédéric's extensive experience also includes roles as a Scientific Collaborator at Paul Scherrer Institute, where contributions were made to the SwissFEL project, a Research Associate at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory focusing on surface physics studies, and a Ph.D. candidate at CERN conducting research on vacuum systems. Frédéric holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, gained between 1988 and 2000.
