Alana Smit possesses a diverse background with extensive experience in environmental and outdoor roles. Alana is currently a student at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, after previously serving as a Scientific/Technical Officer and Smokejumper Unit Crew Leader for the Government of British Columbia from April 2018 to April 2022. Additional experience includes positions as Ski Patrol at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Wildfire Initial Attack Crew Member, Sea Kayak Guide, and Lift Operator at various outdoor adventure companies. Alana's career began in the Canadian Armed Forces, where a role as a Boatswain was held from June 2006 to March 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Development Economics and International Development from the University of Guelph, along with a Level II Certificate in Adventure Tourism from Westcoast Adventure College.
