Catherine Goddard has extensive work experience in data analysis and strategic leadership roles. Catherine currently serves as the Executive Director of Canada Life Platform at Canada Life UK. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Data, Insight, and CRM at Canada Life UK Adviser.
Catherine also has a significant tenure at Aviva, where they worked in various roles. Catherine served as the Head of Data, Insight, and Planning for the Savings & Retirement UK business, where they managed a team of over 60 data specialists and was responsible for capacity planning. Catherine also worked as the Head of Data & Insight, leading an agile team of data experts and developing the Customer Engagement data strategy. Additionally, Catherine served as a Business Strategy Manager, Marketing Performance Manager, Trading & Performance Manager, Retention Performance Manager, and Customer Strategy Manager during their time at Aviva.
Before joining Aviva, Catherine worked at Norwich Union, Aviva PLC, where they held the roles of Insight Manager, Insight Planner, Analysis Manager, and Senior Database Marketing Analyst. Catherine was responsible for developing customer strategies, conducting market research, and managing analytics teams.
Catherine started their career as a Database Marketing Analyst at Iceland Foods and later worked as a Database Analyst at IRI, INTL, where they specialized in market research and database management.
Throughout their career, Catherine has demonstrated a strong ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and lead teams effectively. Their experience spans various industries and has allowed their to acquire a diverse skill set in data analysis, leadership, and strategic planning.
Catherine Goddard holds an Executive MBA degree from Cranfield University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. Catherine also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Newcastle University, earned between 1994 and 1997. Prior to that, they attended Cronton Sixth Form College from 1992 to 1994, focusing on Economics, Economic History, English Language, and Fine Art. Catherine's secondary education was completed at St Chads Secondary School from 1987 to 1992, where they achieved their GCSEs. Additionally, they have a CIM Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
