Senior Director, Product And Partner Management at Canada Health Infoway

Darek Szadkowski, MBA, PMP has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Darek is currently serving as the Senior Director, Product Excellence, PrescribeIT at Canada Health Infoway. In this role, they are responsible for operating and maintaining PrescribeIT, a national e-prescribing service.

Prior to their current position, Darek worked at the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) from 2014 to 2020. During their time at OTN, they held various roles including Director of Product Management, Team Lead of Product Management, and Product Manager for Videoconferencing and eConsult services. Darek was responsible for advancing products in online, mobile, and integration channels. Darek also played a key role in rebuilding OTN's online videoconferencing service and launching the first production mobile apps for videoconferencing.

Before joining OTN, Darek worked as a Product Manager at Cirrus Consulting Group and as an Independent Healthcare Consultant. Darek also served as the Director of Project Management at Healthscreen Solutions Inc. from 2010 to 2011, and as a Product and Project Manager at the same company from 2006 to 2009. During their time at Healthscreen Solutions Inc., Darek focused on operational process creation, personnel recruitment, and software development, generating significant revenue through preventative care services for physician clients.

Darek Szadkowski completed their education at Queen's University. Darek obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from 2013 to 2014 at the same university. In terms of additional certifications, Darek obtained the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in 2005. Darek also achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2013. In 2016, Darek completed the Python for Everybody Specialization consisting of four courses from the University of Michigan.
