Eddie Gallon has a diverse range of work experience in the IT field. Starting with their role as a Network & Switching Systems Technician/Instructor in the US Army from 1995 to 2002, they led classroom training sessions for approximately 1,300 US Army technology specialists and achieved a leadership role as a Non-Commissioned Officer - Sergeant.
After their military service, Gallon worked at Chicago Public Schools as a Senior Office Clerk from 2003 to 2011. During this time, they used technology to maintain employee records and created a database system to track the generation and distribution of Family and Medical Leave of Absence letters and notifications. Eddie also generated and distributed Family Medical Leave (FMLA) letters and reviewed and approved employee physical forms.
Gallon then moved on to the Noble Network of Charter Schools, where they served as a Network Operations Manager from 2011 to 2018. In this role, they managed networks and administration for a large school district with over 13,000 students and 1,500 staff. Eddie also managed a city-wide WAN network and directed a team to accomplish major projects and network upgrades.
From 2018 to 2019, Gallon worked at MXOtech, Inc as a System Administrator. Eddie managed MSP services and IT solutions for multiple businesses in various industries and mentored and trained technicians at different levels.
Most recently, Gallon worked at Prairie State College from 2019 to 2023 and then at CampusWorks, Inc from 2023 onwards. In both roles, they served as the Manager of Network Services and was responsible for managing teams of technicians in maintaining and upgrading networking equipment and systems. Eddie also implemented Cyber-Security policies and controls to ensure organizational compliance with federal and state security standards.
