Rob Jenkins is an Associate Professor at Georgia State University - Alpharetta since July 2000, and serves as a Higher Education Fellow for Campus Reform starting August 2022. Jenkins has a substantial background in writing and commentary, having worked as a columnist for The Chronicle of Higher Education from 2003 until May 2023 and for Gwinnett Daily Post from November 2003 to November 2020. Jenkins co-founded and directed The Writers Institute at Georgia State University Perimeter College, focusing on community outreach and student programming, and has held various academic positions, including Academic Dean and Department Chair at Alabama Southern Community College, and Instructor at multiple institutions including Gulf Coast State College and Western Kentucky Community and Technical College. Jenkins' educational qualifications include a Ph.D. coursework in English Language and Literature from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Arts in Professional Writing from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of West Georgia.
