Simon Neal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in geoscience, data science, and mapping technologies. As the Founder and CEO of CampMap since July 2020, Simon has focused on enhancing guest experiences for outdoor businesses through innovative digital mapping solutions. Prior to this role, Simon co-founded SpatialCV at K2V Limited, offering valuable learning experiences but eventually pivoted to new opportunities. Between 2012 and 2020, Simon served as Co-Founder and Director at Knowledge Through Mapping, delivering specialized consultancy services. Significant earlier roles include Lead GeoModeller at Shell Oil Company, where Simon received multiple awards for excellence, and as a Geologist at Geomodelling Services Limited, contributing to major projects such as the Shell Jordan Oil Shale Project. Simon's educational background includes a BSc in Geology from The University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University.
