Ira Tibbitts is a Mechanical Design Engineer and Application Engineer at Campbell Scientific, Inc. since February 2014, focusing on meeting the instrumentation needs of customers in science and technology. Previously, Ira served as a Mechanical Engineer in the United States Air Force from September 2008 to February 2014, where Ira contributed to aircraft maintenance processes utilizing lean manufacturing principles. Ira also gained experience as an MS Graduate Student at the University of Utah from August 2009 to December 2012, collaborating on projects to develop apparatuses for simulating wear in prosthetic hips. Additionally, Ira held a volunteer position as the Inter-Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference Director for USA Cycling from April 2009 to September 2011. Ira holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah (2009-2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University (2004-2008).
