Kati Anderson is the Communications Director at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Kati has over fifteen years of experience in public relations and media relations, with a focus on health care and food policy.

Anderson began their career as a Press Secretary at Families USA, a national health care consumer advocacy organization. Kati was promoted to Deputy Communications Director, and in that role they worked with national and local health care reporters and crafted media pitches to help shape the health care public policy debate. Kati also cultivated relationships with the media and served as a resource for story ideas, experts, and Families USA research. In addition, Anderson built Latino media capacity; managed all Latino press outreach; and served as Spanish-language spokesperson for Kati'spanic media. Kati also provided technical assistance to a national network of state-based advocacy organizations, including authoring media advocacy tip sheets.

After three years at Families USA, Anderson became the Director of Communications for the Food Policy Program at Global Health Advocacy Incubator, a program of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. In that role, they oversaw all aspects of communications for the program, including media relations, digital strategy, and publications.

In 2012, Anderson left Global Health Advocacy Incubator to become an independent public relations consultant. Kati worked with a variety of clients on projects ranging from media relations to event planning. After one year as a consultant, Anderson joined Comunicad as VP of Media Relations.
