Jennifer Patterson is the Communications Director at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Jennifer has over five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, specializing in grants management and program coordination.
Jennifer began their career as an English Language Instructor at Zirve University in Turkey. Jennifer then transitioned to the Syrian Emergency Task Force, where they worked as a Program Officer from June 2015 to December 2016. In this role, Jennifer oversaw programmatic aspects of the organization's humanitarian relief efforts in Syria.
In April 2017, Jennifer joined SAMS Foundation as a Grants Coordinator. In this role, they managed grant applications and coordinated program outputs and outcomes with in-country staff in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Jennifer also traveled to field offices in Jordan and Turkey to coordinate trainings, develop proposals and gauge funding trends in the region. During their time at SAMS Foundation, Jennifer contributed to raising $4 million in grant awards from governmental and non-governmental international donors.
Jennifer joined Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids as Communications Director in April 2018. In this role, they are responsible for developing and executing communications strategies to support the organization's advocacy efforts to reduce tobacco use and save lives around the world.
Jennifer Patterson has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Lynchburg. Jennifer also has certification from the University of Cambridge in Cambridge ESOL Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) (QCF).
