Monica Castro Cruz is a Protein Biochemist at Cambrium since November 2021, where expertise in molecular and protein biology techniques is applied to develop new protein-based materials. Prior experience includes roles as a BTA at Cambrium, where participation in method development and laboratory organization occurred, and as a Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Scientist at KU Leuven, focusing on cellular biology experiments and exosome production. Monica holds a PhD in Structural Biochemistry from Aix-Marseille University and has held various academic positions, including high school teacher and teaching assistant, alongside research roles in cellular physiology and museum education, reflecting a strong foundation in biology and biochemistry.
